Pamela Silberman-Mills, founder and CEO of Enriching Connections, was inspired to create exceptional services for older adults at a young age. "Since my earliest days of being 15 and working as a nursing assistant and then activities staff in the local healthcare community, and then spending my time off from school with my grandfather, I knew that feeling vital, purposeful and connected was essential to all people's wellbeing. In choosing a career, I pledged to myself to assist older adults, in particular people living with cognitive impairment, to be heard, loved, understood and seen."
As a graduate of the University of Maryland with an undergraduate degree in Health and Human Performance, professional registrations as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist and Certified Alzheimer's disease and Dementia Care trainer, as well as a Master's degree in the Management of Aging Services from the prestigious Erickson School of Aging Studies at the University of Maryland, Pamela led Memory Care teams in finding the best ways to provide hands on assistance for people living with cognitive impairment in residential communities - not just to meet regulations, but to exceed quality standards of care.
Now, 30 years later, through the creation of Enriching Connections, we bring this passion to advance the lives of older adults to you, as a visionary, leader, resource and advocate. Enriching Connections' mission is to assist each person living with cognitive impairments to have the keys to a meaningful quality life while thriving at home.
Pamela's work on generating and maintaining programs that support and enhance the wellbeing for older adults has been published in Longterm Living magazine and presented at conferences and webinars as well as adopted for use by upscale retirement living corporations, and now Enriching Connections brings this expertise to you, helping your loved one live their best life - with or without neurocognitive impairment.
